We are not preparing children for real world. We are preparing them for some idealistic fairy tale. We try to explain them that life is always positive. That life should always be fair. We protect them from everything bad instead of helping them to understand and overcome different life-situations. We often hear that life is cruel. It is not. Life is at it is. Life is not cruel. But we are not prepared for bad things because we are raised to believe in fairy tales. It is nothing wrong with life, only our expectations of life to be something which is not. And then we say that life is not fair. No, we are not fair by not accepting life as it is. We should accept that sadness, suffering, pain, accidents and death are part of life.
